Risk-Managed, World-Class Resource Opportunities
Trans-Orient's oil and gas activities center on Australasia, particularly New
Zealand and Papua New Guinea, a region in which our leadership team have extensive
technical and operational experience.
The Company's primary near term, core focus is exploring a multi-million acre permit area in the East Coast Basin of New Zealand where Trans-Orient has identified a number of high-impact conventional prospects and is evaluating development of the historical Waitangi Hill light oil discovery.
Trans-Orient's unconventional opportunity is aimed at unlocking the potentially vast oil and gas resource in the fractured Waipawa Black Shale and Whangai Shale source rock formations. Trans-Orient is utilizing advanced drilling and completion technologies, which are successful in comparable fractured shale formations now being developed across North America.
In Papua New Guinea, Trans-Orient is reviewing opportunities that will expose the Company to high-impact exploration.
