Garth Johnson Garth Johnson, Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Johnson is a Certified General Accountant and hands-on business executive who has extensive experience in accounting, corporate finance, and managing, reporting and legal matters pertaining to the oil and gas industry. He has been directly involved in oil and gas activities, primarily in New Zealand and Papua New Guinea, over the past 14 years and has been instrumental in developing a number of international companies from start-up to listing on the TSX and AMEX exchanges. Mr. Johnson, who has served on a number of public company boards, brings a depth of expertise and proven leadership skills. As a marathon runner, Mr. Johnson is known for his persistence and perseverance.
Drew Cadenhead Drew Cadenhead, Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Cadenhead has enjoyed a highly successful geotechnical and executive career over the past 25 years. He received world-class technical training and in-depth knowledge of the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin during his 13 years with Canadian Hunter. Following that, Mr. Cadenhead worked in various leadership capacities for a number of Canadian-based companies including Summit Resources, where he was responsible for identifying and leading Summit into the Gunnell area of BC to test the Upper Devonian Jean Marie Formation where multi-TCF of gas was subsequently discovered. Mr. Cadenhead gained his international experience with Fletcher Challenge Energy and TAG Oil in New Zealand, leading a team of geoscientists, engineers and technical support staff into a successful multi-well drilling program and secondary recovery implementation. Mr. Cadenhead holds a Bachelor's degree in Geology from the University of Calgary.
Doug Lynes Doug Lynes, Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Lynes began his Chartered Accounting career, after graduating with a B.Com. from the University of BC, with Thorne Riddell Chartered Accountant's. Upon obtaining his CA designation he left public practice to work for Canadian Airlines, first as a Financial Analyst, responsible for the Capital Asset accounting (worldwide), then to Credit Department Manager. After leaving Canadian Airlines, Mr. Lynes started his own CA Practice focusing on small to medium size businesses, assisting them with their accounting and internal control systems, tax compliance, tax planning and financial reporting.
Alex P. Guidi Alex P. Guidi, Director
Mr. Guidi is the principal of International Resource Management Corp. (IREMCO), a private, Vancouver-based investment company. He has enjoyed a successful entrepreneurial career over the past three decades, having founded a number of Canadian-based growth companies including Trans-Orient Petroleum. The oil and gas companies Mr. Guidi has founded have made, and continue to make, a significant contribution to the exploration and development activity in New Zealand and Papua New Guinea's Foreland region. In Canada, Mr. Guidi participated in the development of the Karr gas field in West-Central Alberta, and in 1989 he was instrumental in transforming a small Alberta-based company into an oil and gas producer with a significant undeveloped land position that later merged with Bonavista Petroleum.
Peter Loretto Peter Loretto, Director
Mr. Loretto is the principal of PCL Holdings Ltd., a private venture capital investment company based in Vancouver BC. He has over 25 years of investment banking, corporate finance and public company experience both in the U.S. and Canada. He began his successful finance career with Paine Webber in Spokane Washington and by 1988, while with Yorkton Securities, he was lead underwriter of 12 IPOs and was a co-participant in numerous others. Since becoming an independent consultant and venture capital investor, Mr. Loretto has remained involved with developing growth companies in the resource and technology sector from start-up through to development stage. Mr. Loretto holds an MBA in finance from Gonzaga University.
Michael Hart Michael Hart, Director
Mr. Hart is a long-time investor in natural resources. Currently, he is the President and a director of AMG Oil Ltd., and the Corporate Secretary and a director of Entourage Mining Ltd. Mr. Hart has previously worked in the financial markets' sector with a number of financial institutions where he acted as an account executive and financial consultant. Since 1995, Mr. Hart has worked with an investment-banking group responsible for taking projects from start up to the public markets.
